The Ordinary is one of the most searched skincare brands in Pakistan, thanks to its simple, single-ingredient serums. But it's imported, so a serum that's cheap in the UK costs Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 here. This guide lists current The Ordinary prices in Pakistan, which products are worth that money, and where cheaper local alternatives do the same job.

Elluvi Hydra Glow Serum (30ml)Niacinamide 10%, zinc PCA 1%Rs 1,149Oily, acne-prone, marksLocal budget alternative to The Ordinary Niacinamide

Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is the best value in Pakistan. It's often the cheapest product in the range, and it does several jobs at once: calming breakouts, reducing redness and fading dark marks. Read our azelaic acid guide.

Glycolic Acid 7% Toner looks expensive, but a 240ml bottle used a few nights a week lasts months, so it's good value per use. See our glycolic acid guide.

Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is a solid dark-spot serum if you pair it with daily sunblock. More in our alpha arbutin guide.

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is The Ordinary's best-known product, but at Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 it's the one that's easiest to replace with a cheaper local serum (see below).

Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is a good hydrating serum, but hydration is the easiest skin need to meet cheaply. Compare options in our hyaluronic acid serum guide.

Are there cheaper alternatives to The Ordinary in Pakistan?

Yes. For the most popular formulas, local brands now offer similar key ingredients for a quarter of the price. Lahore brand Elluvi is a good example:

The percentages match, but the full formulas aren't identical, so textures and feel will differ. For more choices, see our guides to niacinamide serums, vitamin C serums and retinol serums.

How do you spot fake The Ordinary in Pakistan?

Fakes are common because the brand is popular and expensive. Check these before you use a new bottle:

  • Price: if one seller is thousands of rupees cheaper than everyone else, be suspicious.
  • Box and seal: the outer box should be sealed, with clean, even printing and no spelling mistakes.
  • Batch code and expiry: both should be printed (not handwritten or on a sticker) on the box and the bottle.
  • Texture and colour: Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid serums are clear; Azelaic Acid is a smooth white cream; Retinol in Squalane is a pale yellow oil. A wrong colour, smell or separation is a warning sign.
  • Seller: buy from established online pharmacies and beauty retailers with a physical address and a returns policy, or official Mall stores on Daraz. Avoid unknown Instagram pages.

Which The Ordinary products should beginners avoid?

  • AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: it's a strong at-home peel. On sensitive or darker skin it can cause burns and dark patches, so leave it until you're used to acids.
  • Retinol 1% and higher: start with 0.2% or 0.5% and build up slowly.
  • Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone: it often stings and feels gritty. A water-based vitamin C serum is easier to use.

Whatever you buy, don't start several new actives at once, and wear sunblock every morning when using acids or retinoids.

How we chose these products

We checked The Ordinary prices at Pakistani online pharmacies and beauty retailers and compared each product's main ingredient, value per use and suitability for common skin concerns in Pakistan. This guide is research-based; see our editorial policy.

Frequently asked questions

Why is The Ordinary so expensive in Pakistan?

It's imported, so import duties, shipping and the falling rupee push the price to about three to four times what it costs in the UK. There's no local manufacturing.

Where can I buy original The Ordinary in Pakistan?

Buy from established online pharmacies and beauty retailers with a physical store and a clear returns policy, or from official Mall stores on Daraz. Avoid Instagram pages and sellers offering prices far below everyone else.

Which The Ordinary serum is best for oily skin?

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is the classic choice for oil and large pores. Salicylic Acid 2% Solution helps with blackheads, and Azelaic Acid 10% helps with breakouts and marks.

Which The Ordinary serum is best for dark spots?

Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% or Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA, used with sunblock every morning. Without sunblock, no dark-spot serum will work well in Pakistan's sun.

Can I use The Ordinary niacinamide and vitamin C together?

Yes. The old advice that they cancel each other out doesn't hold for modern formulas. If your skin stings, use vitamin C in the morning and niacinamide at night.

The Ordinary original kaise pehchanein?

Check for a sealed box, a printed batch code and expiry date, clean and even printing with no spelling mistakes, and the right texture: the niacinamide and hyaluronic serums are clear, and azelaic acid is a white cream. If the price is much lower than other shops, it's probably fake.
