A Complete Budget Skincare Routine Under Rs 3,000 in Pakistan

Skincare marketing makes it look expensive. In reality, a basic routine of three products, used every day, does more for your skin than a shelf of serums used now and then. This is a sasti skincare routine that still covers everything that matters.

What is the minimum skincare routine you need?

Morning: cleanser → moisturiser → sunscreen. Night: cleanser → moisturiser.

That's it. Everything else is optional.

What is the best budget skincare routine in Pakistan?

Prices are from the brands' own websites on 3 November 2026 and change often. Sunscreen runs out fastest: at the right amount (two finger-lengths for face and neck), a 50–60g tube lasts about a month.

The core three cost Rs 2,676 in total: the Elluvi Glow & Hydrate Duo at Rs 1,678 plus Jenpharm Spectra Block SPF 60 at Rs 998. Bought separately, the Elluvi face wash and moisturiser cost Rs 2,098, so the duo saves you Rs 420.

Why these products:

  • Elluvi Brightening Face Wash (Rs 849). A gel cleanser with 3% glycolic acid and 3% niacinamide. It cleans without stripping and gently helps with dullness and leftover marks. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, use it once a day and rinse with water in the morning.
  • Elluvi Hydrating Moisturiser (Rs 1,249). A light gel-cream with 5% niacinamide and 1% hyaluronic acid in a large 120ml tube. Light enough for oily skin, and it layers well under sunscreen.
  • Jenpharm Spectra Block SPF 60 (Rs 998). A Pakistani pharmacy brand with high SPF at a budget price. Any broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 you'll wear every day works just as well.

Elluvi sells only through its website, with cash on delivery across Pakistan and free delivery on orders over Rs 1,000.

How long will these products last?

Used twice a day, a 120ml face wash lasts around three months and a 120ml moisturiser around two. Sunscreen runs out fastest, because you need about two finger-lengths for the face and neck. Plan on one tube a month. That works out to roughly Rs 1,700 a month after the first purchase.

Do you have dry skin?

Keep the face wash and sunscreen, and use a richer moisturiser at night in winter, such as Elluvi's Hydrating Moisturiser layered with a thin coat of petroleum jelly on dry patches. For more options, see our guide to moisturisers for dry skin in winter.

Where should you save money?

  • Cleanser. It's on your face for 30 seconds. It doesn't need to be expensive.
  • Toners and mists. Nice, not necessary.
  • Eye cream. Your regular moisturiser works around the eyes.
  • Multiple serums. One well-chosen serum beats five used at random.

Where shouldn't you cut corners?

  • Sunscreen. It prevents pigmentation, which is far harder and more expensive to fix later. The best sunscreen is the one you like wearing every day.
  • Genuine products. Buy from pharmacies, official brand websites or trusted retailers. Fakes of imported brands are common online.

How do you add a serum on a budget later?

Pick one goal (oil, marks or dullness) and one ingredient for it. Niacinamide is the most budget-friendly all-rounder: Elluvi Hydra Glow Serum has 10% niacinamide and 1% zinc for Rs 1,149. Use it alone for four weeks before adding anything else. For dark spots specifically, read azelaic acid vs niacinamide.

Frequently asked questions

Are cheap skincare products bad for your skin?

No. Many budget cleansers and moisturisers are excellent. Price tells you little; the ingredient list, fragrance level and packaging tell you more.

Can I build a routine for under Rs 2,000?

Only by skipping a step. If you must, keep the face wash and sunscreen (about Rs 1,850) and add the moisturiser next month. Never drop the sunscreen to save money.

What should I avoid buying on a budget?

Unbranded "whitening" or "formula" creams sold loose or without a full ingredient list. Some contain steroids or mercury that damage skin.

Do I need a serum?

Not to start. Once the basics are steady for a month, add one active, like niacinamide or vitamin C, when your budget allows.

Sasti skincare routine kaise banayein?

Start with three products only: a gentle face wash, a moisturiser and a sunscreen. Use them every day for at least a month before buying anything else. Spend the most on a sunscreen you'll actually wear.
